Simple and delicious – American Dandan noodles
As a traditional Sichuan delicacy, Dan Dan noodles have been popular from China to the United States. After crossing the oceans, the chefs added sesame paste to the spicy base of Dandan noodles. Unexpectedly, it became more popular!
Today we are going to make a simple and quick “American version” Dandan noodles!
⭐For Servings: 2
Noodles (fresh or dried) – 8 oz
Ground pork – 4 oz
CHAOTIANXIANG Sichuan Style Spicy Seasoning Sauce -1 tbsp
Cooking oil (for frying ground pork) – 2 tsp
Chopped Chinese pickled cabbage (Suan cai) – 1/3 cup
Minced garlic – 2 tbsp
Appropriate amount of green leafy vegetables (optional)
Ground peanuts (optional)
Chopped scallions (optional)
CHAOTIANXIANG Sichuan Style Spicy Seasoning Sauce (optional)
⭐Sauce 1 (soy sauce base):
TOTOLE Classic Soy Sauce – 3 tbsp
Rice vinegar – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
⭐Sauce 2 (sesame sauce base):
Sesame sauce (or paste) – 1 tbsp
Peanut Butter – 1 tablespoon
Sesame oil – 1/2 tbsp
1. Prepare the ingredients that need to be chopped, and prepare the 2 kinds of sauce, mix them as well.
2. Heat cooking oil in a pan, stir fry the ground pork. Stir-fry until the color changes, add CHAOTIANXIANG Sichuan Style Spicy Seasoning Sauce, stir-fry until fully cooked, set aside.
3. Cook the noodles according to package directions and drain. Blanch the greens in the noodle water, and drain.
4. Divide the sauce among 2 bowls, followed by the noodles and the leafy greens. Add the cooked pork and chopped Chinese pickled cabbage over the top. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts (optional) and scallions. And if you like spicy taste, add a spoonful of CHAOTIANXIANG Sichuan Style Spicy Seasoning Sauce. Enjoy!
